KandyBass
i was curious as what some of you used for a flat clear, if you use it at all. i am currently using a semi gloss clear made by spies-heckter. but it does not hold up to the rocks. i tried putting devcon over that but it takes away the flat looking that i am trying to achieve. does anyone know what lucky craft uses on there mat pumpkin. it lookes and feels rubbery when you peel it off. fishin4info
I have used steel wool in the past over envirotex to create a flat look but I will let you know that it will not look flat once it is in the water and wet.

basstech
I don't know if this will work on the epoxy but have you considered buying a flattening agent additive. It's made for gloss paints and I've seen it at paint stores for house painting as well in several hobby shops.
SpoRoller
I tried a flattener with Devcon and it didn't seem to phase it at all. I too am still searching for the proper technique.
