CShaver8
I am going to start making crankbaits. How are you guys painting the cranks that you make, and what paint are you using? Janns has an airbrush for $25....do you think it would work? Thanks
scoop10
I don't know what they have for $25, but you may outgrow it fairly quick. I would invest in a legitimate double-action airbrush - a Pasche, Badger or Awata - that you can find at a local hobby shop. You'll also need a compressor, but the 2-gallon types they sell at Wal-Mart are cheaper and probably better than those hobby types (even if they are louder.) createx is a good paint, although there are many others. McGarrett
I tried the $25 setup a few years ago and I didn't like it all---it peformed poorly. Follow Scoop's advice...the brands listed all have quality beginner brushes that will perform well and allow you to grow. Good Luck-
CShaver8
How much money are we looking at for an airbrush? I am looking for a nice beginner setup that won't set me back too much money...incase making lures isn't for me. I do already have a small air compressor. Terrydabassman
Go to http://www.dixieart.com, they have a great selecion of airbrushes at very good prices. I have the Badger 155 Anthem, the whole set cost like $69 and I love it.
