TrophyFishR
What are the easiest colors to start out mixing if you are new to the game? I haven't seen any recipes for smoke salt and pepper. Any ideas? What about green/pumpkin, or black grape?
millsryno
The easiest colors to pour are the ones that you don't mix anything together to achieve the color. Del's green pumpkin is a real nice color right out of the bottle. It is a little weaker than some of his other colors, but it looks nice. It takes me about 5 drops of green pumpkin per ounce of plastic to get the color I like. Smoke is just a light black. He also has a black grape. It is also easier to color non-salted plastic for a "true" color. Salt bleaches the colors. It will take a few extra drops per ounce of plastic to get the same color as the plastic with no salt. If you are flouring your salt, you will not be able to match up the color without mixing colors together.
