cadman
I am thinking of taking drawings/pictures of some of the jigs and spinnerbaits I make, and putting them in a catalog. Which then I would hand out and sell to friends. My question is this. Since all my molds are by Do-it, I will be making the Ultra Minnow Spinnerbait, and the Snootie jig, among others. Can I call the drawings/pictures in my catalog, Ultra Minnow Spinnerbait, and Snootie Jig? I want to say no to this question. If this is correct, what do you guys do when you are selling 20 or 30 different jigs, spin'r baits and other items? What do you name all your varieties. Thanx for the help. WidowMaker
Dont really know how to answer this one but i dont like to see a person ask a question and it not be answered. Consider the arky type jig head. Everyone can basically identify it at first sight. No matter who makes it or what they name it. Its more or less considered to be an arky jig. You could use the ultra-minnow head design and call it "The Ultra Minnow" but so could a hundred other tackle manufacturers. Then what position would you be in??? You can always give it a different name and state the fact that is was cast from "DO-IT Molds.....The worlds leading supplier of quality spinnerbait molds" or something to that effect. In a round about way you would then be associating the quality of your work to the proffesional level of that related to a major reputable fishing equipment manufacturer.
