chas48
Any drawbacks to using old worms to remelt ?
james bradshaw
The plastic will get harder. It takes longer to make a worm. It is more likely that you could burn the plastic. some colors fade. I don't usually have time! The plastic usually puts off more fumes! Some guys do it all the time, but I guess I just haven't needed to use old stuff for making worms.
harley-cowboy
IF I remelt worms, I ALWAYS add a little fresh plastic to it. That will lessen the chances of burning it. ALSO, heat slower and stir more. Go about 20 seconds at a time after the first inital minute. Hope this helps.
Delw
Best advice is not ot remelt factory worms. the factory uses a completely differnt type of plastic( some of which you cant really remelt on the burner and get the same results) they also use alot of additives in there plastic and it smokes and stinks.
