Monster Bait
Has anybody tried making baits from platinum based silicones? They are what is used in special fx makeups and prosthetics.
Tubeman
You can use both tin and platinum catalyst silicones for making molds, lures I don't know. I think tin is a little less sensitive to contaminates and its less expensive. I believe the silicone that Lurecraft sells is a tin catalyst silicone. I would think silcone would tear easier than plastisol ??
Monster Bait
Actually silicone has stretching up 250x. Platinum based. And you can paint it externally. You can also add sparkles or even pigmnet to it. Also you don't heat it. You mix it degass it and pour it. 24 hours later it is ready and you don't have to oil or salt. It retains its shape very well. I am working on some hybrids right now half wood half silicone.
