Nathan
Work is slowly proceeding on the association.I have spoken with the Rod Guild president, and he informed me of some pit falls of their group. Also, the Minimum premium for such a groups Insurance would be AT LEAST 500.00 a year.Too form a LLC too protect the board members would be around another 1,000.00 (one time payment) What would you guys want from the association?..what would you want it too do for you?..Both for those of you who sell your baits, and you guys who do this just for fun.....Nathan
fatfingers
I build for fun, although I'm considering selling just enough to pay for the investments I've made into airbrush equipment, sanders, etc. I'd support an association if there were something in it for me. For example, if the association were to negotiate discounts on supplies, paints, etc. Other than that, it would seem that the association would be almost solely for those with larger aspirations and a profit motive. WidowMaker
I would gladly join if there was the possibility of aquiring some type of medical and dental insurance......namely Bluecross Blueshield. Whether you were a lurebuilder or not you would have to be a fool to pass up an opportunity for good insurance. What about auto and boat insurance rates. Consider the possibility of group buying power in purchasing from Bass Pro and Cabelas? We all have to buy boots and clothing on a regular basis.
