musky1
I sprayed some baits with a 2 part auto clearcoat. I went to assemble the baits about a week later and noticed I left thumb prints all over the baits. My question is. Can I recoat the lures with etex? For some reason the urethane is not completely curing. I was wondering if it would be safe to recoat with etex. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks. Skeeter
Urethane clears require an activator to make them harden. The mixture ratios Must Be Exact or it will not cure completely. You can Etex or Devcon right over the top of what you have. It should be ok. However remember that the Urethane is not completely cured. It could start to separate under the second clearcoat months from now. But I would just go ahead and use your favorite epoxy and clearcoat over the top of the urethane clear. It is your best option.
