automotive urethane

Recommended Posts

Automotive Urethane Clears require an activator so that they will harden. So if you mix up enough to just dip a few baits then you will be wasting alot of clear. It is best to spray it. I would start with either DuPont or PP&G clears to start with. They are readily available.

As skeeter mentioned dupont and ppg are good. However, there are brands that are relatively inexpensive in comparison and will perform as good when clearcoating baits. Before you spend condsiderable coin on Dupont, sikkens, ppg or any other of the big buck brands. Give "Autobody Master" brand sold at many auto part stores. You will save yourself some $$$$$ and if urethane proves to be something you want to use with regularity, then try a few of the others.
