millsryno
This is a great looking color and I have a customer wanting me to make it for them. It is a purple color and has some blue vein in it. You can see the color here. Click the color and it will enlarge. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/descpage-RIFW.html# The vein seems to be a powder because it is swirled into some of the purple color in the samples he sent me. I see that neither Delmart nor Lurecraft carry a blue pearl powder. Is that what this is? Also, If I were to use blue highlight powder in purple plastic, would I see the blue highlight powder or would it change the color of my purple? Any other ideas? alsworms
Really hard to tell without actually seeing the color "in hand". Is it just me, or is the worm 3 colors? The picture looks like a cinnamon top. If not, all you need to do is pour a light purple with a pearl blue vein. For the vein, I would recommend Lure Craft blue with pearl powder. The picture does not look like a blue neon. If it's a neon, then you would drop the pearl powder and replace it with blue hi-lite and add a little black. I wouldn't recommend adding blue hi-lite to the purple color. That makes a nice looking color, but the color pictured in your link is definitely 2 distinctive pours. Hope some of this makes sense. Give a yell if we can help further. Chris
millsryno
Thanks Chris. Actually he wants me to make a stick bait with the purple color and the blue powder mixed into it. So it would be a one color pour. I see M-F carries blue pearl powder. I'm not too familiar with pearl powder. Can I just match this purple up and then put some blue pearl powder in and it will work out like that? Basically I am just looking to copy the purple and see blue powder in it. nova
I think what you have there is a "core-shot". You could do it as a vein pour but it will change the "look" of the bait. In other words it will not look exactly like the origional. I get this all the time and some customers just don't understand why you can't do a hand pour to look like an injection bait. GB GONE
Ryan: I have poured that color!!! It ia a 2 color pour but can be done close with 1 color.
