I was looking at Alworms colors that he has and those neon cores are great. I was wondering Al are you using HiLite colors or is it pearls in there or is some secret? Chris is likely the best handpour guy I know of and his stuff is simply eye candy. I'm decent in my own right but he is the Jedi Master. The Yoda of handpours. Craig..... that is without a doubt the first time I've been called the "Yoda of Hand-Pours" The "neon" effect started as a West Coast thing and kinda took off from there. I use various different colors, pearls, hi-lites, etc., depending on the bait. A good example is blue neon; electric blue, blue hi-lite, and a touch of black color. This is pretty much the standard for a neon color. There are some other western companies that I'm truly impressed with; The Drop Shot Store, SRPlastics, Western Hand-Pours........just to name a few. conman Posted August 20, 2003 Author Report Share Posted August 20, 2003 Big thanks to both of you MMT thanks for the input there I been wanting to try these hand pours in a bigger deal But the wife says I got to build me a shop first. She is getting tired of me using the deck for my work. So I been trying to soak up as much as I can. Im trying to build Up my supplies until then. I been hearing yall talk about the Calhun plastics alot Al sings there praises. I think that I am going to call them and look into using them. Now on the colors what are most of yall using I noticed on the cookbooks some of yall use a little from LC and MF. Is one better than the other in your opinons? MMT we need to hook these guys up with the Prostaffers at BassinUSA so we can do some talking over there for the site. alsworms Posted August 20, 2003 Report Share Posted August 20, 2003 Overall, I like Lure Craft's liquid colors better, but I prefer MF's powders. There are a few colors offered by MF that Lure Craft doesn't offer, like Amber Green, Crayfish, Brown Watermelon, etc. Most of them can be made with a combo of Lure Craft colors, but I'm too lazy, so I just buy those from MF.
