Darkman Posted January 6, 2006 Report Share Posted January 6, 2006 i am working on some flat cranks(i am very new to tackle making) i used balsa cause it was easy to use. fist problem is that they weigh nothing while testing them the would not cast very far at all. second they don't sit up right in the water they lean to the side. the one that did work some what Had a very erratic wiggle, i need to know how to control and fix all of my problems i need some serious help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Skeeter Posted January 6, 2006 Report Share Posted January 6, 2006 Double the weight that you have in the balsa baits. The reason that they are leaning is that they are too light. Balsa is very forgiving about wieghting. So double the weight should not hurt them at all. You still may have to adjust the weight, but this will get you going in the right direction. Your real eratic action is probably due to the light weight. The thing is probably bouncing all over the place. This is a weight problem.
