finlander
There are many ways, but the easiest is to get some netting from a fabric store and lay it on the side of a lure and spray it with a contrasting color. The trick is to kep the netting tight on the body. You may want to use enough netting to go around the belly of the lure and up the other side, using clothes pins to hold the fabric tight to the body. You need to spray lightly, keeping the can moving. You don't want to over spray it to the point of letting the paint get blown under the netting. Then you will lose the scale pattern. Remember, to little is better that too much paint. Good luck.
Hoodaddy
Nathan, the netting being referred to is scale netting found at about any of your lure building suppliers.i.e. Netcraft,Stamina etc.another option is go to a fabric store and find some bridal veil netting.
