musky1
I'm going to try making some chrome finish baits. Should I use Chrome paint or the foil method? I heard the finish will dull on the chrome paint once you clearcoat. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Jim
michael merrill
Go with the foil, definitely. In my opinion, you just cannot beat a foil substrate for any natural style paint scheme.
Husky
Chrome paint tends to turn to flat gray under a top coat. Go with foil.
savacs
Does anyone have any idea why hat happens with chrome or nickel paint? I wanted a nickel finish on some baits. Luckilyi only tryed on one bait, and it turned into a brownish yellow collor I never tryed it ever since, but i might try it on some "samples" to see how it goes, but i guess i'll have the same effect
