borderbasser Posted January 17, 2006 Report Share Posted January 17, 2006 Hey fellas. I decided to venture over from the darkside of softplastics to ask a few questions. I need to make a mold of an 1.5 oz. weedless bass jig and a bullet weight with a skirt collar. My question is, is water putty better or is the bondo body filler, as far as durability is concerened? I am familiar with the putty but have never used bondo. What can I use for my mold form if I use bondo? Do I need any release agent on the form and or the bait. And one more question. When you pour the bullet weight around the wire, what keeps the lead from bonding to the wire? Sorry for all the questions, but I have never worked with lead before.
