jigman
I am using a 1 piece resin mold. When I pull the bait out of the mold the edges on the bottom of the bait are ragged and torn looking. The rest of the bait looks fine.I have sanded all the edges smooth.Do I need to use a release agent or seal the mold?
BuMMeRBaits
I just usually use a dremil (sp) tool to clean up the edges.
nova
It might be that you are not putting enough plastic in the mold. As the plastic cools it contracts and settles into the mold. This may be why your edges are ragged.
texasbass1
I use worm oil on my resin molds to help the baits come out easier and cleaner.
sgtbonecrusher
i use Pam Cooking spray......its awesome! leaves a shiny finish and it releases great.....just reapply a flash coat every couple pours
Jig Man
I use a Dremel tool to clean the edges of the mold then go over that with 600 grit wet dry sand paper. When pouring I spray the mold with garlic spray. The baits release easily and smell like garlic.
