TAE73
I have some of the LC tube plastic its getting small bubbles in it after its heated. Also when it cools it gets a cloudy affect on clear colors. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I shook the gallon jug for a good 5-10 minutes and then let it set for 5 minutes before I poured in the Pyrex for the microwave. After it gets the cooked stage it has very small bubbles I am not sure if i am not stirring correctly or what any help would be appreciated thanks. I do notice after shaking there is foam/bubbles around the edges of the jug. I am thinking of buying some Calhoons next.
GB GONE
The one time I used the LC plastic, I had shaken the plastisol GOOD before using and had the same problem. The next day, no bubbles... Try a gentle mixing or stiring rather than shaking or you will have to wait a few hours before the bubbles go away!!! shaggy
I had the same problem with my first pour, I was using a piece of wooden dowel rod to stir it. I thought I had read a post about the wood causing bubbles. I did not shake the bottle for the second pour, and used a piece of plastic to stir, no bubbles. Hope this helps. millsryno
Here's a little trick for the guys that don't know it. If you have bubbles in your plastic, just cook it like normal. After it is cooked place it in your microwave for an additional 1-2 minutes on the "warm" setting. Take out and all the bubbles are right on top. Use a spoon to scrape them off the top. I know, it's an extra step, but it work perfectly. I even do this now when I have good plastic.
