deadlystreamer
This is an story taken from www.NAFC.com It's something to think about when your fingers, mind and eyes come in contact with a piece of balsa wood, knife, diving lips etc.. We don't need any of our bunch getting into trouble. http://www.fishingclub.com/document.asp?dID=2620
redg8r
Wow.... The ruling must have come from the advertising side, cause personally I dont see many similarities in the 2, other than them being soft plastic & using a corkscrew spring to attach the bait. From what I've seen: The banjo uses a spring to attach the lure to a hook, The bionic minnow has interchangeable heads & uses a treble hook in the heads. strange.... I really like a product from Renosky called "Scatterin Shad" & I figured that lure infringes more on banjo than the bionic line. The Scatterin Shad looks almost identical to a banjo, except it has a skirted tail (like a tube) & has a ridge down the back to make an offset hook, weedless. do you think we'll be seeing Renosky around much longer?, 1.6 mil is a pretty hard punch to the wallet. BTW Bionicminnow.com is down.... coincidence? Thanks for that link, redg8r
Legendary Lures
Interesting article. Thanks for sharing it! Two things come to my mind: 1. I can't afford an infomercial 2. Note to self: Don't let Mr. Renosky's attorney represent me. =:]

Skeeter
It seems to me that the ruling was not because the lures were similar, but due to the fact that Renosky led folks to believe that the new lure was a product associated with Banjo Buddies. Since he left that company, then I can see where the new product should not be represented or implied as a Banjo Buddies product.
