Tuff-Tackle
Has anyone tried the Eye Dotting Machine from Component Systems?? I'm looking for a easier and quicker way to paint the eyes and shad dots on my crankbaits. Thanks, Mark Tuff-Tackle

Jig Man
Could you be a little more specific about Component Systems. I would like to know more about the eye machine.
Tuff-Tackle
Hey Jig Man, Here is Component Systems website....www.csipaint.com The Eye Dotting Machine is listed in the equipment section. I'm looking for a quicker and easier way to dot the eyes and shad dots for crankbaits...1/4", 1/8" etc. I think this machine is more for doing jig eyes. Hopes it helps......Tuff-Tackle
just_plugging_away
I have used an eye dotting machine by techon systems for about 10 years (like others mentioned above). My experience is it is great for small or tiny dots, but terrible at large ones. The tips are just to big and you usually get more paint than you want and it runs. If you want to make small dots, just buy some of the dispenser tubes and tips. You dont even need the machine.Just thin your paint accordingly to the size of tip.The paint will flow by gravity out of the tip in little droplets.Just move fast and dont let the droplet get too big.If it does just tough it to a rag to dump the droplet and continue on.If you have not thinned your paint enough, squirt some thinner into the dispenser tube and stir it with a small screwdriver. Hope this helps.
