Tony Maxwell
Ed, I'd suggest only cleaning and lubing reels. There are so many makes and models that you would tie up a rather large fortune trying to stock parts. You will need schematics for each model/make reel, along with cleaning supplies and small tool kit. Use high quality lube & oil. I prefer Quantum Hot Sauce. As for rod repairs, get a good book on the subject, study, and practice, practice, practice. A good place for information and/or supplies is Jann's Netcraft, or Barlow's Tackle. Have fun. Tony When in doubt, Jerk & Shout.
