Big Splash
I just came back from Kamloops, in the southern part of British Columbia, and it seems like every where you look the forest is on fire. Blackend trees line the highway in several locations. At one point I could see where a huge fire had jumped the North Thompson River. A few towns have been evacuated, and about three hundred homes have been lost to the blazes. At one time while I was there 30,000 people had been evacuated from Kelowna, one of the largest cities in the province. The fire there is 85 sq. kilometers in size. Some of the fires are named after lakes that I have fished- Kamloops is famous for great Rainbow Trout fishing. If any of you folks who are suffering floods would like to trade a little bit of weather, we could sure use some rain up here....
chirmy
Fires do suck. You are welcome to one of LAs Vegas' very own thunderstorms. Alls you need is 1 little cloud and they wash all the smut off the streets
