clemmy Posted February 25, 2006 Report Share Posted February 25, 2006 Hullo, I just received a used aluminum mold from eBay that was machined to use a 2-part injector. The included injector is 2-piece plastic, one clear, the other transparent green. It has a small aluminum conical sprue for inserting into the mold. Molded into the side is the name Super Sport in script. As it's old plastic, I'd rather find an newer (hopefully safer) alternative. Do any long time pourers know if this matches up with the new netcraft injector? Or is it one from the old 2-part lurecraft line? Also did a search on old forum and learned that Garst lure designs makes a stainless injector. Anyone have any feedback or measurements on this so I can see if it'll work with my custom mold? Thanks! Delw Posted February 25, 2006 Report Share Posted February 25, 2006 Do yourself a favor DONT USE THE PLASTIC INJECTOR They will melt in your hand and you will be in pain for a few months, Ask BOBBY I got it bad to the point where fishing 2 months later was even next to impossible. clemmy Posted March 5, 2006 Author Report Share Posted March 5, 2006 Thanks for the warning, that's what I was worried about...especially with an old injector... Anyone have one of the Garst lure design injectors? Or another solution? My only other idea would be to inject cold and bake the mold, but that seems like a pain in the you know what..
