curling flake

Recommended Posts

While it is possible you have some "bad" flake, probably the temperature of your plastic is curling your flake.

I have large black from LC, M-F and Senkosam and use much of it every night. I don't have a problem with it curling at all when the temperature is 300-320 degrees.

I add my flake as you suggested, after you have heated your plastic up and are close to pouring.

All that being said, I did receive some silver flake from LC a long while ago that curled when it hit the plastic. When talking with Kim from LC, I learned that most of the flake comes from the same source so it is possible both batches are bad.

I would check the temp of my plastic first though....
