dwendt1978
Anyone know when Titanium wireforms will be available to us? I know they were on the market about a year or 2 ago for about a year but Terminator put the smack down on that. Does a patent run out like Nextels Direct Connect did, and everyone came up with "Push to Talk" or can you keep renewing it???
robbor
When Terminator cant get $6 for a spinnerbait that the blade falls off of or $1 per silicone skirt then they will be released. I personally dont think the titanium makes the differance. Alot of bass are caught on spinnerbaits within the first 1 foot of the lure hitting the water and very often on the fall and it is hunger and reaction that provoke the strike and not critical vibration only magically held in titanium. I have about a dozen terminator without blades going back to them and I will not be buying more. You could heat treat SS forms so hard that you would have trouble bending them and get the same affect.
Delw
There was a post around here along time ago on where to get them, this was after the the wire forms were pulled. you can buy titanium wire at any metal whole sale place ( fry steel in ca) in the post the guy also said how to make your own forms as well. you do have to apply some heat put yet not too much. I use terminators and the FLW titanium spinner baits since they first came out, I use a bunch of them, and never had a blade fall off. I did break the head off on one. I like them for the simple fact they dont have to be rebent after a fish is caught. I would love to see someone offerthem in a 1oz- 2oz and even a 3/4 oz size, biggest I can find is 1/2oz and even they are hard to get here in az. mossy maker
I have also lost blades and broken them. Although they do seem to take a lot of bending abuse, they are not very impact resistant. mossy maker
robbor
You should look on ebay they show terminator Heavy T spinnerbaits in 1oz+ but are supposidly discontuned I used to use the nightbaits alot and they were way worse than the normal willows. Ive had the blades fall of in less than an hour fresh out of the package. It really tick me off, fish are biting and everything is going well, then bam no vibration. I have had the willows do it also. I called terminor after about 3 lost their blades just hoping they would send me 3 hole blades. But no they want you to send them in. When my supply is gone there will be no more Ts for me.
dwendt1978
Yeah, I purchased 3 Terminator's 2 of the tungsten and 1 3/8 oz. made of just lead. First trip out and my 3/8 oz lost it's blade. Then my 2 tungsten ones broke of at the head after just a couple fish. The problem with the blades is the fact that the split rings on the swivels, are EXTREMELY thin and weak. You can pry them apart with your fingers. But after putting my own blade on, my 3/8 oz, it lasted a year and finally the head broke, so I molded it into my own spinnerbait and LOVE it. And the so called quick change skirt!?!?! What a joke, first thing I did when they came out of the package was install my own skirts. Now I'm pretty hooked on super stainless, but boy, I sure want the titanium frames. Bottom line is Terminator is about Quanity, not Quality.
robbor
I personally like the quick change skirts because they do not dry out and have the band break or go weak.
