Tony Maxwell
What is the ratio of epoxy to denatured alcohol, so that the finish isn't as thick??? Thanks in advance. Tony When in doubt, Jerk & Shout.
Muskiefool
I run about 60/40 epoxy to alc for a wood sealer 2-3 coats and for finish about 15% alc just enough to bring up the bubbles quickly John
longball
Is this the infamous Tony Maxwell in 7 Mile, Ohio? Are you still making those little crank baits? The water is still cold up there I assume, the Mississippi water temp is in the 60' and the bass are starting to bite.
mossy maker
Is it common to thin the epoxy? How does it effect drying time? I typically put it on staight. mossy maker
BobP
After mixing the epoxy, I dip my brush in denatured alcohol and flick a few drops into the mix (I mix enough epoxy for 2 baits at a time). It only takes a little. Don't thin it if you have anything on the bait's finish that can disolve/run with solvent.
