etch a sketch
yep its for the big boys , have tried smaller wires, (51) but with my design it wont hold up, so i need to find out the best way of joining 2 sections of 062 ? Etch
robbor
the easiest way is probably to see if you can get pre formed shafts that alread have a loop in the end then splitring them togather.
etch a sketch
i have no probs making the loops on the 062 rods i have, and have tried it with a split ring between both loops, was thinking of looping one wire into the other, but was worried about the wire twisting against itself, figure with the split ring or ball swivel, there would be little or no leverage Etch
robbor
I am guessing you are making the loops on a wire former? YTou might try popping the pin out and cutting a slot(like a key way in it) for the other pre made loop to rest while you make the second loop. You should not run into leverage problems because as soon as you start reeling the bait should straighten out and if it spins when the fish hits its shure to twist your line more than foul the wire. If a fish is that big and wild to bend up you bait he will do it reguardless. I would not worry about it either way.
muskyhunter63
Hi, You should be able to loop the two wires together with no problem. Take a look at an Eagle Tail bucktail. The two wires are just looped together. The wires are also thicker than what you are using. Good luck and catch the big one!
