Mr B
Hey guys, just curious. Have any of you ordered the "Frog Hair" living rubber from Liv. Rub Co lately. I ordered 3 -4 lbs a month or so ago. It came on the rolls. When I unroll the brown rubber it is wrinkled like last weeks laundry. Even though it looks smooth on the roll. When its tied on the jig it looks like crap. Has anyone else had this problem??? Mr B
jigmeister
is that the "round" stranded rubber or did he start getting the flat stranded rubber made in "China" ?
Elken
I bought several rolls of the fine living rubber from them and didn't care for it. It doesn't seperate well unless you really stretch it out when you cut it and then it kinks when it backlashes from being cut. Plus it seems slicker than the old living rubber and no matter how tightly I wired it onto a jighead, sometimes it would pull out when stretching. Plus the brown was much darker than the brown I previously used; it almost looks black.
Mr B
Ya its the Round Frog Hair. Elken, did yours come on the roll or did you buy less than a lb? Was yours kinked / Wrinkled? MR B
Elken
I bought in on a roll; it comes off nice. My problems seem to start when I try making jigs with it. I went to using fine cut silicone instead.
