dtrs5kprs
Just a caution to you: there is a seller on ebay who is selling various lots of molds for plastic baits. From the pics and description they appear to be used RTV molds, but are in fact just plaster molds. If you really dig plaster molds, and are not capable of making your own, then by all means jump in. The molds are pretty well made for plaster molds. If not, be careful.
alsworms
Hey Dan, Thanks for the heads up. I've been going after a bunch of those molds myself lately. I emailed her and she said they were made out of a "4-part ceramic clay". Now I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but ain't that just plaster?? At any rate, the plaster sometimes works better for me than the silicon, so I figure I'll give it a shot. Chris
alsworms
Dave, Sorry about my repeated efforts to call you "Dan". Needless to say, I'm terrible with names. Chris
dtrs5kprs
Trust me I've been called worse. Just had a reply from the seller re: negative feedback I posted. They are good plaster molds, but they are not RTV. I just think that sort of thing should be mentioned up front, like Ryno did in the molds he was selling there. Obviously, plaster molds should not sell at RTV or resin prices (although I have some of my own that I would not sell at any $). If anyone needs custom RTV work let me know...I will consider most molding projects. May even be putting some RTV molds up on ebay myself.
