FishPork
I have read that most of you install your belly weights before final shaping . How in the world do you acomplish this on round/ fat boddied baits?
Skeeter
The way to do it is just the opposite. Shape the body and then drill and install the weight. Skeeter
scoop10
fishpork, I think what you read is that some people drill their belly hole before doing the final shaping, which helps them to get the hole centered properly and serves as a "landmark" in evenly shaping the bait. If you do that, you may still have to go back and add some depth to the hole after taking off some material.
boatnik13
I'm with SKEETER ! My center of weight is found in the beginning as I center and pre ballance the whole lure but now I'm working the solid wood lures not balsa or the plastics.
