Joshua Russell
Hello to everyone, hope you had a nice Easter. I have a boggs tacklemaker, and I am attempting to make some small spinners. The spinners I like are the small wire models that you can simply unclip on the back and change your flie. I can make the entire wire form but I am having a great deal of difficulty : in making the little hook that you clip and unclip to the main wire body. Any advice??? Thanks. clemmy
Sorry, I not exactly sure what you mean...Could you possibly post a picture (or find one on the Web) of what you're trying to do? One thing you can do with the right sized wire is slide both the main shaft and the tag end into the spinner body...raise up the spinner body and you can change hooks/flies.... Pickerel Pete
Sounds like the loop on a jig spinner or Erie Dearie. Bend the locking loop first. Use needle nose pliers. Bend this loop 90% to main shaft. Do round bend at end of shaft so locking loop meets main shaft. String on body beads whatever and do top loop. (line tie). Hope that makes sense. Garry.
