maximusgunn
I have some questions for the TU plastic whiz kids. 1. In a poured swimbait what plastic would have better action, soft plastic or saltwater (extra strength) plastic? 2. This might be a stupid question but does the saltwater plastic weigh more than super soft plastic?
GB GONE
I can only go on the swimbaits I have poured for my use but super soft plastic gives far more action but is torn up easier than the saltwater. Seems that somewhere in the middle, maybe a mixture of the 2, would be better than either. Don't quote me on this last on as I did not get out my scale but I think they weigh almost the same in the finished product. The saltwater bait is more dense but doesn't seem to weigh much more. A scale may prove otherwise on that !! Jim
earthworm77
Use the softer plastic for more action. Even a big boot tail may not move that well on the saltwater plastic bait.
nova
The answer comes down to whether you want to catch more fish or not have baits torn up. The more action; the more fish.
Mattlures
design has more to do with the type of plastic that should be used. Once you create your bait you should pour some with hard and soft and see for yourself what has better action. Some baits wont swim unless they are soft and others swim much beter when they are firm. maximusgunn
Thanks for the advice guys, I appreciate it. Think I will just pour a couple in the S. soft, the middle grade, and the heavy, and see which has the better action for the design. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction. Jackllbass
I fished Guntersville this past weekend with the BASS Pros, and one of my pros I fished with was using one of your male Bluegill swim baits on bass beds. I seen the bait and I knew it was one of yours, because I bought one at the Classic in Feburary. He said he had caught many good bedding bass on it. He proceded to show me how to do it. I learned alot watching him. You make a great bait. Later<>< <>< <>< <>< Jack
