Esox72
Hi Guys Im new to the site and making my own lures, the info ive found on this site has been very helpful. Now my question, I just made my first Muskie bucktail and the blade will spin clock-wise on one cast and counter clock-wise on the next. Why is it doing that? The bait is about 9 in long and has a #9 fluted Indiana blade. Thanks For Your help. Tom
Party Crasher
I think that's just the nature of a blade. I really never cared which way it spins as long as it spins. The only blades that I know spin on particular direction are the Doc Shelton or Hatchet blades. You could take a pliers and bend the edge on one side (very slightly) and it would cause more resistance on one edge which would cause it to probably spin one direction. But, it could screw up how smooth it spins, too. Interesting topic. I dont think that this has ever come up.
