I have a few questions... 1) What type of material should I use to make the mold for pouring the lead? Bondo, RTV, wood/woodfiller...? what else is there? 2) I'm interested in high production...so which is the best for high production? 3) What lubricant should be used to release the poured lead from the mold? 4) How many pours would I be able to get ou tof the mold before it begins to severly wear? I plan on pouring 1/4 oz to 1/2 oz of lead in each mold spot....?[/quote'] JMHO, Best, Dow Corning 3120 RTV, the red stuff. I've literally poured thousands of 3/4 oz jigs without any breakdowns. Make a few molds and rotate the pours. I'd open them and get the casting out asap so the heat can disipate, more quickly. Bondo will last for quite a while if you let the mold cool down. I mix in some Bondo resin into the Body Filler to get it thinner. I've got a few hunderd of pours from a mold. Here's a picture of one of my Bait Tail standbys, in Bondo.
