dtrs5kprs
Just want to make folks aware of an awesome color resource. The "Collector's Guide for the Bagley Fanatic" by Johnny Garland is full of color pics of the Bagley baits from 60's to end of the company (at least as far as quality is concerned). It also has full color pics of MANY, MANY of the Bagley colors, with color numbers where possible. I bought mine to help with hunting/collecting of Bagley baits, esp square bills and DB's but am finding it to be an amazing resource for colors when painting baits. Obviously there is the option of duplicating Bagley colors, but also just a great place to see if the color you are thinking of will look better with brown scales or stripes, yellow eyes or red. Saw a post on a vintage lures website that indicated Mr. Garland may not be printing more of this book. If interested you can reach him at the below email: bagleyfanatic@aol.com He is also a super guy to answer your Bagley bait Q's.
