Celticav
This is a copy of the SOB Mini-Me model that I made with Stamina components, its a 5/8's oz head that I tied a lumaflex skirt too. It was fun to build, but I don't trust the snap at the end of the swivel to last too long, I have noticed larger colorado blades often break off on them, hope the willows do ok... I much prefer split rings to these types, but I recieved this on in a pack from RedG8r to try and wanna see how it stands up. The original mini-me model was designed to fish for big spotted bass on Georgia's gin-clear Lake Lanier or so I am told, it is supposed to be a heavy compact bait that will sport huge blades for pulling the spots up from deep cover. I like it alot, it casts like a rocket, runs wonderful, looks great in the water, and most importantly it catches fish. I am sure SOB Baits will do well with the model, I hear the other manufacturers are coming out with their own style of "hidden weight" compact-type spinnerbaits and the market should be flooded with them by spring of next year. I predict tungsten will play a huge roll in these compact-types in the future and they will probably be the next big thing in spinnerbaits on the tournament trail (expect your favorite Pro to be plugging them to death). I look forward to seeing and trying some of the various designs and I hope a few of our members here start pouring their own! I just recieved a few samples from a caster I found and am going to build a 1 oz and a 1 1/4 oz today that when finished should both be around the size of a standard 1/4 or 3/8s bait. Did Stamina just stop carrying the model? They have been taken off their website catalog recently and have been sold out on them for awhile now, anyone know the scoop on this? BassReeper
Bait looks great. I will say this. I have tons of the mini me spinnerbaits and regular spinnerbaits from SOB. And boy DO THEY EVER catch fish. ONe thing though about your statement. The are not design as a heavy bait to sport big blades. They are designed to be burned without rolling. If its worked to slow you'll never call up fish with it. Thats why they have small blades. Just my 2 cents. Yep, Bill is a super guy and is selling tons of them cause they do work. Have pics. to prove it. Reeper
Celticav
I never said it was designed to be slow rolled and I was going by an article I read about them that stated the remark on the big blades. The article was on another compact bait designed for river fishing so doesn't apply to the mini-me precisely I guess, but does apply to the group, JIM
dtrs5kprs
Looks like a good November bait for Table Rock...combinations of white with white blades are super for burning up kentuckies. Usually run 3.5/4 willows on 3/8-3/4oz heads or so. Just need some cold nasty weather and wind.

BassReeper
Nathin, that is the size blades I use on my SOB's for burning no matter what the size. They work great with the #4 and 3.5. I tried the two 4's and it just give it to much lift and keeps right on top. The 4 and 3.5 keep mine about 6" to 12" under the surface and I don't have a problem with them rising to fast. At Lanier me and my buddy have had fish rise out of 40' or more to chase the mini me's.
