charkins Posted December 28, 2006 Report Share Posted December 28, 2006 Well, I have an answer. Not sure how cost effective it is, but it is an answer. I have used a product called "Scenic Sand". It was left over from when the wife was making crafts with grandkids. It comes in bunches of colors and is made in Marshall, TX. They will sell in 1 or 5 lb bags last time I asked. I liked the way it made the sticks look. They were much more translucent. I only make baits for myself and my family and friends, so it really isn't feasable to stock a bunch of colors for a few hundred sticks a year. Hope this helps.
