Shawn M
Hi guys. I used transparent powder paint for the tandem blade and holoform tape for the main blade on a couple SBs I put together. My question is; do you need to put epoxy on the blades or not? M.Bassitt
From what i know about Powder Paint on jig heads, i would Bake the Blade. Alot of difference between baked and unbaked using powder paint. As for the tape it could not hurt, i would use a thin coat of epoxy, or you might try ''Sally Hansen, Clear Nail Hardener '' nothing but cheap laquere paint, but it is tough and cheap, like 2 bucks a bottle. Hope this HELPS Mike
dampeoples
I think they recommend coating it with something, I wouldn't use epoxy, something thinner maybe.
Shawn M
Thanks for the quick responses!! I did bake the blade after pp. I put epoxy on, but it was a real pain. I like the idea of the nail polish, I have a bottle of "no chip top coat" I used for sealing thread after dressing some treble hooks. It should definitly be easier to use than the epoxy. Thanks again!! Shawn
