cadman
Split rings. They seem to always lose their shape when I put them on. Maybe the ones I buy are cheap. Also my white powder paint. I always screw around with it, to get good coverage and sometimes I still have problems.
LedHed
Not enough component suppliers for hobbyists!!! Need the competition to drive the prices down. How about a Lur-Mart??? Use to be lack of information sources – but TU fills that void. Seems like there is always someone that has been down the road and knows a few shortcuts….. flabasspond
The fact that most of my fishin' buddies think that because you make it yourself it dos'nt cost you anything....like supplies are free! Let alone time and effort....Dave

Palmetto Balsa
1) Hitting my bone with the point of an X-Acto blade. 2) Kicking over a jar of acetone/prop. dip in the garage at 1:00 AM. 3) A wet bait dropping from the holder. 4) A bait that sits with a 5-10 degree pitch at the test. 5) Driving a piece of SS wire into my pointer finger. 6) Doing it again with in 10 minutes. 7) I could get twice as many lures built if I could pull myself away from TU, but I never would be where I am with out it. cheesehead
what bothers me is people who think they know all and refuse to look at things from others points of view. I'm even guilty of getting stuck in a paradigm and refusing to try new ideas.
longball
This thread is hilarious! First on my list would be having to go to work with not enough time to make baits. OR testing a new lure, wear out the fish with it, then hang it up and can't get it back when you havn't written down any information about it. That sucks. woodenfeather
What bugs me is the fact that since I started making flies and lures, I can't get myself to just go out and buy 'em anymore. If I get into something new like using spinnerbaits, I can't be satisfied with buying an assortment and stickin em in my tackle box. Instead I have to buy a mold and hooks, wire, paint, blades, swivels and skirts. Read books on how to design them, and try and dream up ways to improve on designs that have already stood the test of time. I do all this knowing full well I don't have any intentions of selling anything I make. What the hecks wrong with me?
