lunker05
I am having trouble making the bends in my buzzbaits, I just can't keep it straight. Is there a good wire bender that can help with that. I have the lil blue bender but I just don't like it. Which is the best for the money? Thanks Brandon
Joe
I use a Boggs Tacklemaker. I haven't had any problems making bends. The unit mounts to your workbench, allowing you to use both hands. Just take your time and your bends will come out fine. God Luck, Joe
charkins
I also use the Boggs. It works for me.
fshfactor
I'm just curious to know if bending your own wire is the cheaper way to go compared to purchasing wire forms Thanks.
cadman
Fshfactor, IMHO no. The only time I use my wire former is for wire forms which diameters are not commercially available, or if I want to make something totally different, or a customer must have something special. I use all the commercially made wire forms for almost all applications if I can. Just my opinion.
charkins
I certainly wouldn't make the forms unless it was absolutely necessary. The forms are fairly cheap.
reeves
I agree, purchasing wire forms is very cheap compared to the time it takes to make your own. Unless you have some idle time and are looking for something to do, purchase them. Plus they will be more consistent than making your own. Just my thoughts.
