Mac10 Posted January 2, 2007 Report Share Posted January 2, 2007 If the lead is still new and has a shine to it, going over the lead with a permanent Sharpie Marker produces a net metallic finish. I use this at times when tying jigs and also to make the bullet weights match soft plastics. As there are scads of colors to choose from, you have a lot of colors possible. This can also be used on hooks if the hook is somwhat silver to begin with. I make red hooks out of Bass Pro Shops XPS hooks by simply coloring wth the red Sharpie.....most any color is possible.
