The glue your talking about is called "Pro soft Glue" or something like that..yes,it is still avaible. The stuff is really thin and will run everywhere if your not careful..(ask me how I know..LOL)and chances are, the bottle will dry up before it is gone.

I personally use super glue gel..It's cheaper, and your able too control where it goes much easier....I don't think I understand what you mean about "doubling it back"..Nathan

I meant taking the end of the wire and bending it back toward the body and inserting it into the same hole. Less damaging to a fish if they grab it at that end. Is there something like a plastic push pin? something that has ribs on it to bite into a plastic grub to hold it??? Like a plastic screw.

Has anyone tried taking the spring out of a ballpoint pen; stretching it out a little and cutting it. Should be able to get 3 pieces out of it. Attaching it with a small SS staple and epoxy to the bait. Then just screw the plastic onto the spring. The spring being quite light should empart a pretty good action to the plastic.

About glue....there was a thread recently about the glues you have mentioned....the Pro brand.....dries in the bottle, not the best bet. I recently tried a bottle of Loctite brand super glue for a little over two dollars at Wal Mart with good results....It's easy to control using the blue and gray triangular shaped bottle and seems to be in a slight gel form.....works very well. Just have to have a thin needle nearby when it clogs in the spout, but other than that...very good product.
