It of course has sentimental value and I was looking to restore it and put on my shelf with some other vintage tackle I have amassed over the years. Lure--Prof Posted January 11, 2007 Report Share Posted January 11, 2007 Snook, I understand this is not what you asked, but for display, especially with the sentimental value this reel has, I'd leave it as is, to better tell the story of its life. It has earned its scars through use, it is visually far more interesting with them. Otherwise, you could find a 302 in good conditions, which shouldn't be difficult, and do what you like with it.
