VMAXX
Any suggestions on the back coloring trying to get a Tenn. shad scheme but can't seem to get it right ?
Nathan
I've seen several variations of this pattern. Some use a olive green for the back, some use a bluegreen...some use gray..Nathan
Hughesy
The true tenn shad color was originally a pearl body. Then you paint the back solid black and then scale the back only with a yellow gold. Then a black stripe down the middle of the back.
dtrs5kprs
I have had good results with the following combo: white base coat pearl white body orange belly (or throat, or red if prefer) black back iridescent gold for scale I run the black back on the back and down the "shoulders" of the bait to carry the scales well down into the body. I also shoot the irid gold scales onto the pearl sides for more scale flash. I clear coat after the scales are done, then spray on the detail (gills, eyes, dots etc). Think there are some pictures of some little N's up on my yahoo photo page of this color (in the process, without details). If not let me know & I will post or send you some. http://photos.yahoo.com/dtrs5kprs
dtrs5kprs
Sorry...forgot to mention the black "stripe" really sort of follows contour of bait down the back.
