I am thinking about building 2 outriggers and hanging sonar transducers off each side of my boat. Why you ask? Using one sonar unit seems to be inefficient, I want to sweep large sections of my lake looking for structure. I have 2 old sonar units laying around in addition to the one mounted on my boat console. I am thinking that I should place the outriggers far enough out so the sonar cones do not criss cross each other and cause interference between units. Has anyone tried this?
