rsinyard
I have read several of you guys altering your molds with a dremel. What dremel bit do you use for this?
cadman
Hi Ron, I use the small round one and the pointed one. Also I use small miniature files. Here are the Dremel part no.'s...100 series bits, 7103, 7105, and 9901 thru 9912 series. I have probably 20 different ones for different applications. You never know which one will do the job..... sim
hey cadman... where do you get your bits from... the 99 series is tough for me to find locally...
cadman
sim, I get most of my bits from Menards, and Home Depot. Both stores carry different bits, also not always either. Seems that if it doesn't sell well, they put it on clearance, and I buy them all. These bits are really good, however fragile, and will break. Also, I believe you can order them direct from Dremel. Also I buy them from McMaster Carr, they have a small variety.
dtrs5kprs
Try the nasty looking ones with the round head and large cutting surfaces for removing lots of aluminum quickly. I like the small engravers for adjusting hook grooves, hook eyes etc. Plain old cutting wheels (with mandrel) will also open up a hook groove or cut a wire weedguard slot. Pop
I ordered my last bits direct from Dremel. Cheaper than Home Depot and no tax and no shipping. Pop
