bamfbasshunter
I am new to airbrushing, lure making, and tackle underground all together. This is a great site that I have spent hours reading throught the post. I just bought a new Paasche VL airbrush and was wondering if this brush will be good for painting fine details? And if not what is the best airbrush for detailing?
Snax
I'm not familiar with your brush but the Iwata Custom Micron airbrushes are unbelievable for detail work.
BobP
Everyone's skills differ and alot depends on what you mean by "detail". JMHO, if you mean freehanding details like gills, stripes, etc, the VL probably has too large a spray diameter. However, detail can be done with the VL if you employ frisket masks. I confess - even with an Iwata HP-B with .02mm tip, I still use masks for detail work. It's just the most relaible and accurate way to get it done.
