braveviper
Is there any way to shorten the 24 hour curing time of Lc rtv? What would adding more acivator do?
Smallie
I bought Micro Mark RTV and it has a 4 hour demold time. I haven't poured immediately after demolding because I make molds after dinner during the week and leave the pouring to the weekend. I am going to try Smooth-On's Oomoo 25 next. It demolds in 75 minutes and is less expensive than Micro Mark. I had real good luck with the Micro Mark capturing details. Dave

tubinator
b-viper, I would not recommend adding more curing agent then the mfg. recommends. One way I've used to shorten the curing time is to set the mold under a 100w light bulb, the extra heat will speed curing, but could tends to warp the mold if set to close. Most liquid mold rubber cures at room temp. (68-72 degrees) so if you find a place in the house where the temp is 85-100 degrees with a more uniform heat source, you will speed the curing time. good luck! Predator Bass Baits
My room is about 69deg. it takes like 6 hrs to de-mold, after about 3 to 4 hrs it is still sticky to the touch, I do not know the exact times but this is what I usually find. I am using oomoo25
