Predator Bass Baits

Took the big leap and ordered the pressure pot from LC

Recommended Posts

This machine does not have fancy machine work, it is in like a 2 or 3" nipple with fittings to hold both sides of the lid. the rod is 1/4" and the inside of the pipe fittings is 1/4" and it does leak air but not very much at all.

All he did was drill a hole in the lid put a pipe fitting on top with a fitting on the botoom of the lid and used a nipple to make it longer,

Brass was used for this.

Just to give a up-date, I hope to have my version of this pot done in 2 weeks, I am waiting on the heat band.

This unit will be very nice, no short cuts were taken.

All wiring will be in a UL rated box, plus I am using a correct speed controlled motor.

Del mentioned you could build one of these for $500, well I hope no one attempts it unless your good at dumpster raids, LOL

Everything is done, I am just waiting on the heat band to get here.

I have a up-grade for your pot if you would like.

Were that rubber grommet is I drilled it out and put a plug in it so you can remove it and pour plastic, color, salt without opening up the lid,

I think it will be a big help for salt as you can have the motor running and stirring as you pour the salt in.

I also can make you a base cover to go over your wood base out of PVC plastic so silicone molds will slide around on it without using paper and I can make you a slide for your 2 piece worm molds to run in.

I will post pics as soon as I can.

Here it is guy's

Took some time getting a few parts, I can say after using it 3 times I need to learn how to use it but I would never pour any other way for bigger pours.

I poured before 100 sticks a hour with my presto pot and this thing the second time I used it I poured 175 in a half hour, You do need enough molds to be able to do this.

This thing rocks, it is very simular to LC pot but this one has no short cuts and all UL listed electrical parts and a up-grade Motor and speed control

I tucked most of the air feed in the back.

One thing I just found out was I can get a pressure fitting thermocouple so the probe will be inside the pot in the plastic, I have a outside one now but that will be changed as soon as I can get it shipped here.

I also was not a big fan of open pour molds but with this pot it is a dream, you just got to be careful not to breath as it pours such a fine stream you can blow the stream away and mess up your pour, LOL

I am very pleased on how this thing pours, I just need to figure out how to use it and I will have that figured out real soon.

Here is the picture and a link to see more of it.

http://www.proheatinc.com/

http://www.nphheaters.com/products/ceramic.htm

here is a couple links, you will need to design it yourself,

1500 to 2500 watts, get the heat band, shroud, and insultion.

If you go with NP they were the best price. Ask for James, remind him of mine and that will get you in the right direction, you will need to figure out what type of plug end you will need, it also needs a 25 amp relay

Also get the shroud 1/4" wider then the heat band, they made mine the same size.

Also ceramic is more money but I guess a better product.

Thanks Jim,

It looks like the same one used on the LC pressure pot.

Does it provide a more uniform stream of hot plastic than the one you used on your Presto Pot?

Anyone know where to find them. Check out Jim's pressure pot pictures, this thread. If I had a pressue pot like that, I would set up all night watching it.
