Coley
Thanks for the nice comments about the other blank. I think the pic says it all. What I really like about it, is that there is no epoxy at the bottom of the lure and no drilled holes to finish. I used two 1/8 oz. egg sinkers for weight. This is a little harder to do than the other method, it may be the best way. What do you think?? And by the way Hughesy, the mind is the first thing to go, I started making baits in late March of this year. Coley
Hughesy
Sorry Coley, You're right, I'm gettin old and things are starting to go. My mind, teeth, hair, eyesite, we won't talk about the rest. When ya work 18 to 20 hours a day, March seems like years ago! Great work!!!! Skeeter
Hughesy, I too have the exact same problems you do with age. I'm 46 and alot of stuff is starting to go on me too. What you and I really need to worry about is the fact that Coley is older than both of us. Skeeter
Hughesy
Skeet, tell me you're kiddin'. I thought Coley was a teenager. Now I know why his stuff is so good. The older the violin the sweeter the music! Not that you young wipper snappers aren't putting out great work. I'm loving seeing the skill, craftsmanship, dedication, and ingenuity continue to grow in the great art of luresmithing. Keep it up guys. It does nothing but get better and better. Coley
Sure does make a guy feel good. You can butter me up all you want, still, no free baits. lol The both of you have forgotten more than I'll ever know about making baits.
