Gloomisman
When you guys make your 2 piece molds do you build a wood frame and line it with al foil? I was thinking about doing this because I can make it square and free standing. One other ?. How do you get the lure to stay on top of the pop without sinking. Obviously it has to start to harden but I have yet to have good luck with it. I was thinking about pinning the lure to the side of the mold to make it suspend better. How do you guys do this? nova
Don't make your first side of pop so runny and the surface tension should keep the bait in place. www.novalures.com
Dungeonhawk
my biggest problem BY FAR with pop or the other thing i use is air bubbles in the 2nd piece. the first side works great, no complaints, then the second has a ton of air bubbles and pockets in the top of where the bait would be. any help there would be nice. thanks
bigbass14.3
dungeon, I have found if you gently tap the mold on a surface while it is hardening from time to time most of the air bubbles will rise to the outside of the mold try this and see what you think. Dungeonhawk
would be be wise to also pour the pop or other compound in a very very liquid state. i assume the bubbles will escape from the stuff much easier. i guess in the past I may have not done that. spungee
If you will wait until the bottom part has gone thru it's heat process and is cool to the touch......the top part will pour with noiticably less bubbles.... Hope this helps -spungee-
